Wax Museum

Baylea's class had a wax museum today where they dressed up as historical figures. Last month , they wrote reports on their figures, then memorized sections of the report. Today, each student stood as a figure in a wax museum (talking and moving wax, apparently) and recited facts about themselves to every parent that pushed the button in front of them.

Here is Baylea, all decked out. She came up with the idea herself and did a great job with it.

She was so happy she got to wear my boots. (She and Molly have taken a sudden interest in wearing my clothes lately, yep, it's that time . . . .)

Still guessing? Probably not, but the answer is Amelia Earhart.

She spoke in a very quiet voice so everyone had to lean in to hear her. I went behind the group and cupped my hand up to my ear and made a funny face to get her attention, but she didn't notice.

Good job, Baylea!!I wish I could have been there to see and hear her. I know she was so excited about her project, she is just growing up too quickly!! Sending hugs, Gramma
